ARCHITECTURE is one of several professional courses like law, medicine etc. which are evidently so necessary to mankind that they have existed from almost the beginning of civilization. Shelter is an elemental need; Architecture is much more than merely building a shelter. It also attends to the psychological needs of the human being occupying it. It is the shaping of our physical environment. Architecture is a field which brings together Art, Science, Humanities and Technology, to design a built environment for mankind. It is ancient science as old as mankind itself manifesting in the great culture of Indus, Egyptian, and Roman to the present times. Architecture is both the process and product of planning, designing and construction, form, space and ambience that reflects considerations.

It requires the creative manipulation and coordination of material, technology, light and shadow. The practice of an Architect, where architecture means to offer or render professional services in connection with the design and construction of building, or group of buildings and the space within the site, surrounding the buildings, that have as their principal purpose human occupancy or use. A style and method of design and construction of buildings and other physical structures. Presently attracting attention due to a great forward leap in infrastructure development at the national and international level.
