Description

Following the footsteps of that early Irish Christian Missionary, Saint Columba of Iona, Columba Catholic College endeavours to provide deep learning for the mind, a spiritual base for the soul, an athletic dynamism for the body. Current students, past students, future students and their parents all mesh into the Columba Family which incorporates those parts of our history which once were Mount Carmel College, St. Mary’s College, and St. Columba’s Primary School of Charters Towers. Please peruse the website, and the College itself, if you happen to be in Charters Towers. We hope that you feel most welcome.

At the amalgamation in 1998 which formed Columba Catholic College, each previous school became a campus for the new school.

These schools were Mount Carmel College, St Mary’s College, and St. Columba’s Primary School. Since the beginning of 2005, further restructure has taken place, and the College operates on two campuses, Mount Carmel for years 7 to 12, and St Mary’s Pre-school to year 6.
