Thiagarajar Polytechnic College, a premier institution established in 1958 by the philanthropist Late Sri.Karumuttu Thiagarajar and nurtured by Late Sri.M.S.Chockalingam has been the successful leader in Technical Education for six decades. This institution celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1986 in the presence of His Excellency Sri.R.Venkataraman, the then Vice-President of India and in 2009 the 50 years of its commendable services were celebrated as Golden Jubilee with the iconic personality His Excellency Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, the former President of India as the Chief Guest
