National Institute of Cooperative Development

National Institute of Cooperative Development (NICD),functioning under Ministry of Cooperatives & Internal Trade is the only government educational institute in Kandy region and currently conducting lectures for the well accredited professional programs like IBSL (IABF/DABF) ICASL, CMA, and AAT. NICD is equipped with all modern facilities such as modern lecture halls with comfortable seats, multimedia & laser pointers, computer laboratories, library facilities with a large number of text books in relevant disciplines and so on. Further, NICD education center is located in a very condusive environment at Polgolla junction which is very calm by nature so ideal for the teaching-learning process.

There are only few kilometers from Kandy city to Polgolla and it is having direct & shortest access from the areas like Kurunegala, Katugastota, Matale, Waththegama and so on. More importantly, majority of our lecturers are from Universities and Advanced Technological Institutes who are possessing advanced qualifications such as master degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, Professional Qualifications etc. and they have been selected through a well-structured interview conducted by us.
