About Us

A catholic institution nevertheless, it is opened to all children irrespective of caste, creed and race. It upholds secular and democratic values and firmly believes in universal brotherhood of mankind and the fatherhood of one God. The school is named after a great saint of the Catholic Church known as ST. THERESA OF THE CHILD JESUS. Theresa Martin is a young and beautiful French girl born in a small town of Alenco, in France, in the year 1873. From her childhood she was a perfect model of innocence, purity and Love of God.

At the age of 15, she became a Carmelite Sister sacrificing all worldly pleasures devoting herself to the service of the Lord. She carried the same exquisite qualities of her childhood into her religious life. She often used to say, I can do nothing by myself but my Father can do all; I am only a Little Flower and He is the great gardener showing her great love and trust in God.
