About Us

Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan who took part in Freedom struggle of India along with Gandhiji. Many times he went jail and underground for the sake of freedom. After freedom Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru requested Jaiprakash Narayan to join power but he refused and choose to bring the social transformation through total revolution without sharing the political power. To eradicate social poverty inequality, corruption in the society in Bihar and Gujarat lead the students agitation he also participated in Vinoba Bhave’s sarvadya Mandal and worked for Bhudan Movement. While doing so he sacrificed and donated and his wealth and landed properly to sarvodya. Prabhavati who totally devoted to Gandhain thought Loknayak Jaiprakash got married with her. Thus our institution has taken inspiration from the two words from their names for Jai & Prabha and named the institution as Jaiprabha.Thus through their thought our institution working.

I had interest in social work right from the primary education in college education I was active in NSS activities and was the chief of social science forum. During this period I attended many NSS camps held from village level to state levels. In the years 1987 to 1989 I acquired MSW degree in social science from Ahmednagar college. Many institutions affered me lecturers job in their college but due to interest in social work I chose to join as a social worker in Manavlok NGO working in the field of social field at Ambajogai in that institution. While working in the organisation under the guidance of the cheif of the Manavlok Organisation Dr. Dwarkadas Lohiya in the year 1994; I registered the organization Jayaprabha Gramin Vikas Mandal at the initial stage we distributed the mannure and seeds to hundred economically poor farmers from a village. On account of Gandhi Jayanti celebration the institutions real work commenced. On the eve of Golden Jubli Celeration year i.e. 1997-98 we arranged many programmes for the people comming from the rural area. Like importance of Environment, farming inorganic farming, erradication of blind faith, how to stant an industry education women empowerment, Gandhian thought population, health and cleanliers, Neghgiance of creativity among India youth. Thus we celebrated independence golden year along with the 4000 youths from thirteen villages. From this day Jayaprabha Gramin Vikas Mandal began to work
