Forest Avenue Academic Magnet Elementary School

Forest Avenue School was built in the 1920s, with twelve classrooms. Eight years ago, thirty new classrooms and state of the art facilities were added with the addition of our new wing. Annually there are approximately 680 students in grades K-5 who attend the school. Admission to Forest Avenue is by application and a selection process. Any student who lives in Montgomery County may apply to attend our school. More information and admission requirements are available on the MPS/Magnet Schools website, or from the Magnet Schools Program Book which is published each January. The applications will be available in January and will have a deadline of when to return them.
