About Us

I’m an Architecture photographer based in Colombo, Sri Lanka who specializes in photographing architecture; I also have a passion for automobile and completed my degree in mechanical engineering.

Coincidentally, I grew up in a family of architects and engineers. My elder sister and uncle are architects while my father is a mechanical engineer. From childhood, I was exposed to admire and practice art and design in day-to-day things. During school times, I spent time with friends in photographing the wildlife while going on camping trips and also took a course in photography at a local institute. While studying engineering, during my final year, my cousin brother who also has an eye for art, wanted to start a wedding photography establishment and I joined to assist him. After covering a few events and looking at my captures, I realized that I enjoy holding the camera so much and that my eye captures human figures, nature, and architecture all together in a very distinctive way!

With the completion of my degree in engineering, my inner admiration for art evolved into photographing architecture. By this time my sister completed her studio house and she asked if I could photograph her project. Before I took the challenge, I put my energy and time into self-learning architectural photography by following many tutorials and online courses.

I enjoyed photographing my sister’s house as my first ever architectural photography assignment and my photographs were displayed at the Architect ’19, the annual Construction and Architecture Exhibition conducted by the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects at the BMICH, which won a merit award for the “Most Informative Panel”. There onwards I spent time perfecting my craft by learning theories in the subject and managed to apply them to each of my assignments to get a perfect outcome.
