The Trichur Co Operative Spinning Mills Limited

The Trichur Cooperative Spinning Mills Limited was registered on 30 Jul 18 under the Co Operative Act 1969 and the Mill inaugurated by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri.( Late ) K.Karunakaran on 27 Jul 1985 . Shri. (Late ) E.Ahammed , then Hon’ble Minister for Industries and Commerce was presided the inaugural function.

The main vision to set up a Spinning Mill at Wazhani, near Wadakkanchery was to develop the remote area by the way of giving more employment opportunities.

The Mill started its commercial production during the year 1986 with a capacity of 25000 Spindles .

Initially the Mill produced 100% of cotton yarn in cone form and now the Mill producing 100% PC Yarn in Cone form.

Now the Mill is undergoing a Modernization Project assisted by the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) and the Government of Kerala with a total Project cost of 2997.78 Lakhs. On completion of this Project, the Mill will be able to install State of Art Machines which will help to produce best quality yarn in Cone and Hank form .
