The Lodge Outback Motel owned by a ‘sister, brother and partner
team’ since 2005, located in the Country & Outback NSW Region, more
specifically the famous mining town of Broken Hill.
The Lodge itself is located only 600 meters from Town Square in a
quiet area of town. Guests often make the remark that we are “close
enough to town to walk but far enough away not to be busy or noisy”.
OUR STORY | What motivates us?
We are motivated to ensure that our guest have a good stay and one
that gives an experience of the iconic destination Broken Hill.
The Lodge Outback Motel is located in a ‘historic’ building that is
seen to have a significant heritage value to Broken Hill with its
architecture and social history. It is a heritage that we are proud off
and one we are excited to be able to continue to tell.
For that reason we have designed a Gallery space to show case Broken Hill and what it can offer. We engage with local artists, curate exhibitions of local stories and display a range of imagery of this region.

One of the great pleasures of being at a place like the Lodge is the
people we meet and the opportunities we have to get to know them. The
people we connect with are from all over Australia and bring many
different stories.
In return Broken Hill with its remote geographical location encapsulates ‘real experience’ eccentricity and otherworldly beauty. Part of this richness has translated itself into to a local larrikinism, on the streets you will meet ‘mischievous an uncultivated, rowdy but good-hearted people’.

We know travellers comes with different expectations and needs. Our
aim is to meet those needs in the best way we can; we are always open
for a chat and happy to assist if anything needs to be done differently.

The Lodge has 22 rooms divided into different room types to suit different travellers needs. Located in the main building are our heritage rooms: Superior Heritage, Heritage Queen, Heritage Family and Heritage Double. Outside on the one side we have rooms with Spas: Queen w 2 person spa, Queen w 1 person Spa and King single w Spa. On the other side the traditional motel rooms are located: Classic Queen and Classic Twin. In addition we have a three-bedroom house, adjacent to the Lodge fully equipped with kitchen, laundry and lounge area.
