The Government First Grade College, Magadi, was incepted in 1984 in magadi town, the land of Kempe Gowda, the Chieftain of the region. and was the first Degree College in this locality. The institution has been in existence for nearly three decades catering to varied needs of aspirants hailing from diverse rural society. The Institution is providing best education to large number of students belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, OBC at the UNDER-GRADUATE level to the poor, less-privileged, marginalized and all other weaker sections of the society at affordable cost directed by the Government of Karnataka.
